PRISMS
Amici Roof Prisms
Reflecting prism used to deviate a beam of light by 90° whilst simultaneously inverting the image. It is commonly used in the eyepieces of telescopes as an image erecting system. Made to customer specifications.
Anamorphic Prisms
Anamorphic Prism Pairs are used to transform elliptical laser diode beams into almost circular beams. The prisms are set near Brewster’s angle and with AR coating to the angle of the index SF11 glass, an average throughput of 95% can be achieved.
Brewster Prisms
The Brewster prisms are used for dispersion and 90° deviation of linearly polarized light, with no reflection losses. Made to customer specifications.
Corner cube
Corner Cube Prisms are designed to reflect any ray or beam entering the prism face, regardless of the orientation of the prism, back onto itself. A mirror will only do that at the normal angle of incidence. As a result, corner cubes are ideal where precision alignment is difficult or time-consuming. Made to customer specifications.
Dove Prisms
Reflective prism which is used to invert an image. Dove prisms are shaped from a truncated right-angle prism. A beam of light entering one of the sloped faces of the prism undergoes total internal reflection from the inside of the longest (bottom) face and emerges from the opposite sloped face. Images passing through the prism are flipped, and because only one reflection takes place, the image’s handedness is changed to the opposite sense.
Equilateral Prisms
Refraction by an Equilateral Prism – Visible white light passing through an equilateral prism undergoes a phenomenon known as dispersion, which is manifested by wavelength-dependent refraction of the light waves. Made to customer specifications.
Littrow Prisms
Prisms are used to disperse light into its component spectrum. Coated prisms are used to deviate the line of sight by 60°.
Penta Prisms
A pentaprism is a five-sided reflecting prism used to deviate a beam of light by 90°. The beam reflects inside the prism twice, allowing the transmission of an image through a right angle without inverting it (that is, without changing the image’s handedness) as an ordinary right-angle prism would. Rhomboid Prisms
Rhomboid Prism is a simple means of displacing the line of sight without affecting the orientation of the image or deviating the line of sight.
Right Angle Prisms
